As a major Clipse fan and someone who has also binged all their interviews, you put perfect words to how I feel watching them. There is such a fidelity, commitment, and integrity to their relationship and art that I just want to soak up. Great post, thanks so much for it!
Thank you so much, Bradley! I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been feeling that from these interviews. Just getting new Clipse was more than enough, but these interviews together have been truly enlightening and really special.
I enjoyed some parts of Superman (the justice gang was totally goof-troop, A+), but there were way too many moments of what I think of as “grimdark edgelord nonsense” that really felt tonally incoherent.
Like (SPOILER) whose idea was it to make lex into a cold blooded mass-murderer who also likes executing Superman’s random acquaintances point blank, while Superman watches & weeps, helpless with kryptonite poisoning? I didn’t need *any* of that vibe in my “positive superhero movie” 😂.
Nice observation of the zeitgeist! Maybe because I venerate Clipse (their last name is Thornton, BTW) and dismiss Oasis, I had not put these two twos together. Maybe something IS in the air!

This was good
Appreciate that, Chris! Means a lot coming from you.
